Components for high vacuum and UHV
Allectra was founded in 2002 as a manufacturer and distributor of high vacuum and UHV components, meeting the needs of high vacuum system builders (who build for the highly demanding semiconductor tool industry) and research laboratories, including the likes of ESRF and the Swiss Light Source. Although only a few years old, Allectra has already established a broad customer base in most European countries and the USA and Japan. The company's range includes feedthroughs, wires and cables, viewports, fibre optics for vacuum, motors, vacuum chambers, flanges and fittings. Additionally Allectra offers explosion-bonded aluminium to stainless steel transitions.
The company's first manufactured product was the popular industry standard sub-miniature D vacuum feedthrough, and Allectra has gone on to develop some novel space saving electrical feedthrough packages which allow greater density of feedthrough pins than conventional types. An example of this is the unique KF25 feedthrough with a standard sub-D 9-way connection. Recent additions to the company's range of in-house designed and manufactured products include a full range of connectors and Kapton cables for vacuum use, plus a new quartz viewport range. Unlike other manufacturers, all Allectra vacuum components are manufactured from corrosion resistant 316L stainless steel.
