Thorite has announced a major upgrading of its sales operation. Twelve of the company's sales engineers have been promoted to become key account managers, with each person receiving additional training within specific market sectors. These are supported by specialist, field-based 'product champions' who are expert in a range of disciplines.
In addition, Thorite's regional sales and service centre in-house sales teams have also benefited from further training. The entire sales force can now provide customers with the knowledge and expertise to provide a total solution to any problem - from design and product specification to installation and on-going servicing.
Explaining the thinking behind these moves Alan Donkersley, Thorite's sales director, said: "Today's industrial and manufacturing organisations are concerned with a variety of problems, from power costs, noise, safety and speed of operation to the wider implications of carbon emissions and climate change. So a totally integrated sales approach is essential. Our 'total solutions' sales philosophy is dedicated to improving our customers' productivity and saving them money, by providing them with the most cost and energy-efficient products and systems available."
