In recent years, VAT Vakuumventile AG has taken great efforts to establish an eco-friendly management system. Recently, it was decided to have this management system certified by an accredited certification body. The aim was to receive the international environmental protection certificate ISO 14001:2004.
After nine months of work, VAT called in the auditors of the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems (SQS), who carried out an extensive assessment over three days to ascertain whether VAT would be ready for the certification and in a position to keep pace with the perpetually increasing demands regarding environmental protection. And VAT can now proudly announce that its efforts have paid off. The company passed the audit and received the desired certificate from the lead auditor, Mr. Paul Vetsch.
VAT is committed to staying on this path and will refrain from bringing products to the market or applying procedures that will have detrimental effects on the environment. By adhering to this principle, VAT says it will simultaneously fulfil two commitments. On the one hand, it is contributing to the preservation of nature for the next generation, and on the other meeting the requirements of its customers, whose specifications are increasingly including environmental protection directives.
