Buchi to service North American customers direct

Buchi Labortechnik has announced a distribution change in the USA and Canada in favour of the company directly supporting its customers and products on a direct-to-market basis. The company has ended its existing North American distribution agreement with Brinkmann Instruments, and merged all distribution, customer service and technical support functions under its North American Subsidiary, Buchi Corporation based in New Castle, Delaware.

The company says that this decision that was not made without careful consideration, marking as it does the end to an over 30 year relationship with Brinkmann. But Buchi is confident that the move will aid in improving the support and relationships with its customers on a local level and will set a new benchmark for service in the market.

The distribution change in the USA and Canada is part of a strategy by Buchi to bring to the market, services and support which, when combined with the company's technology, will improve the overall customer experience. Through the ability of Buchi to directly support customers, the company will have the flexibility and market input necessary to respond to customer needs and provide more services to those companies interested in investing in technology to gain optimisation through technical and application support.This is viewed by Buchi as an essential step to providing better innovation and customer satisfaction.

While these changes will upgrade the service and support of Buchi users, the company will continue to partner with world class distribution partners such as VWR, Thermo-Fisher Scientific, Sigma Aldrich and other major catalogue suppliers based in the USA to enhance and grow the Buchi distribution and service network serving laboratory equipment customers throughout the North American Territory.
