Coating processes are frequent in the semicon industry, but it is still an industry that is reserved for a few high companies. Pneumofore's experience at February's Practical Vacuum exhibition, then, was that the show didn't attract a high number of visitors in this area. But there was good news, too.

Rough vacuum is distant from the needs of coating applications, which demand 10-5mbar(a) pressure or less. But every high vacuum application goes through the rough vacuum or first vacuum stage, and modern systems base on the centralization of rough vacuum. Depending on the specific application, several pumps might need to be operated in order to achieve the required vacuum level.

In this respect, then, the exhibition was a successful one for Pneumofore, allowing the company to get in touch with other OEM and specialists of this high evolved and continuously evolving industry.
