UK based Severn Science is now certified to manufacture, service and fully support the Coolstar range of Cryo equipment, previously manufactured by RICOR, Israel, following a new co-operation between the two companies. The new manufacturing range includes Cryo Pumps, Water Vapour Pumps, Coldheads and Cryodrive Compressors. Severn Science has invested in the project with the erection of a brand new purpose-built manufacturing facility and the dedication of experienced engineers specifically to the Coolstar range.
The Coolstar range of cryo pumps, water vapour pumps and coolers provide exceptionally high cooling powers and pumping speeds for their size. These features are critical for reducing pump down times and maximising yields, and their compactness makes them ideal for scientific instrument applications.
All Coolstar products feature a stepper drive motor, offering optimisation of cooling power according to demand. Boost speed is used for fast cool down and for heavy pumping requirements, whereas slow standby speed extends seal life during periods of low load.
Prior to the new agreement, Severn Science was the UK agent for Ricor for many years, during which time extensive service support has been offered. This experience, coupled with 40 years in the field of vacuum manufacturing ensures that the Coolstar range will be manufactured to exacting standards, and Severn Science can commit to reliable performance and improved lead times to new and existing customers.
