Parker Instrumentation has appointed Aberdeen Fluid System Technologies as a Process Solution Specialist in Scotland. The company will configure and provide application-specific solutions for connecting instruments and interfacing equipment to process lines using Parker's range of manifolds, valves and flanged products. This appointment will complement the long standing relationship between Parker Instrumentation and Hydrasun, the largest provider of Parker products and associated solutions and services to the UK oil and gas industry, creating unparalleled strength, depth and overall capability in servicing and fulfilling customer requirements.

"Skilled engineering resources are at a premium in the oil and gas industry, and there's great demand for companies that are able to complement component supply with value-added services such as design support, component sourcing, and system building," says Gerry Farrell, managing director of Aberdeen Fluid System Technologies. "Parker Instrumentation continues to pioneer new forms of valve and manifold technology that helps solve many of the technical challenges our industry faces, such as higher pressure and higher temperature operation. Such innovations give us greater scope to offer solutions that help clients to minimise operational downtime, improve equipment performance and extend asset life."

Founded in 1979, Aberdeen Fluid System Technologies has extensive experience in this field, and has grown to become a leading provider of manifold, valve and related instrumentation and process components to Scotland's oil and gas and processing industries. Its supply capability and engineering services are widely used by many of the region's leading offshore and onshore operators, in support of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) activities.

Parker Instrumentation's general manager Ian Huggins adds: "We have added many new manifold products to our range that support new levels of efficiency and reliability, but their potential has to be understood and designed in. We are delighted to enlist the help of Aberdeen Fluid System Technologies, with its strong engineering capability, to help us spread the message. With the three companies working closely together, we can offer customers far more depth and experience and realise our goal of threadless and leak-free installations becoming standard."
