Televac has announced the release of VacuMini, a new low cost miniature vacuum sensor. This innovative thermocouple sensor has a measurement range of 20 Torr (20,000 microns) to 1 millitorr (1 micron). The body material is 304 stainless steel. The VacuMini is equipped with a tethered Mil-Spec rated weather cap that will protect its electrical contacts from moisture and environmental dirt.
The new device is based upon the family of rugged and reliable vacuum sensors that Televac has produced for more than a half-century. Like all the company's thermocouple sensors, the VacuMini is produced with a proprietary process that ensures unit to unit performance repeatability. The VacuMini's dimensions (without weather cap) are 5/8in diameter by 1 7/8in long. The weather cap adds 3/8in to the length.
Applications for the VacuMini include bulk cryogenic gas storage and transit vessels, mechanical vacuum pumps and pumping systems, and vacuum jacketed high purity process gas delivery manifolds. Televac offers a full complement of single and multi-channel instruments that will power and read the VacuMini sensor, including the innovative VacuGuard low cost and portable digital instrument.
