Speck Pumpen has launched an improved design liquid ring vacuum pump known as the VZ. The pump performance matches that of its predecessor, the VH but has many cost saving benefits for the user. Higher reliability and easier maintenance is achieved through O-ring sealing and an integrated connecting pipe. Floating impellers mean that no mechanical adjustment of the clearances is necessary. Using fewer parts means lower repair costs and simplified assembly.
One problem most users face in shaft seal replacement is one of accessibility. In some cases, the whole pump has to be dismantled in order to replace the shaft seal, particularly if the pump has been in service for some time. Speck has overcome this by designing simplified and easily accessible shaft seal housing, giving easy access to replacement of the mechanical seal.
The range has also been extended to include space saving close coupled pumps and including a magnetic drive variant. The pump performance is interchangeable with the previous VH range and connecting dimensions remaining the same.
