After almost 15 years on market, Rietschle Thomas reports that the DRUVAC range is to be replaced by a new generation of dry running rotary vane pumps. The new MICOVA range will be available in vacuum pump (VTR), compressor (DTR) and combined pressure-vacuum (KTR) versions.
Like the DRUVAC range, the new MICOVA has got a maintenance and control panel only on one side. The advantage of this design is easy access to filters and valves. Big inlets and outlets for cooling air provide an excellent flow of cooling air, even at high ambient temperatures. The design is modern, without leaving the dimensions of the former range.
Further advantages of the MICOVA range are hidden under the sound isolation hood of the pump: the massive housing ribs, optimised leading for cooling air, thermal separation of suction and compression chambers within the filter housing, as well as a minimum number of connected heat transferring parts, result in much lower machine temperatures. This leads to longer up-times of wearing parts and increases the reliability of the machine, even under harsh process conditions. And the company says its design engineers were able to optimise the geometry of the pump housing to improve the performance efficiency of the pump. This means lower energy costs for the operator.
