Strike with new COBRA

Busch UKvisit website

Telford-based Busch (UK) has announced a new addition to its COBRA range of screw vacuum pumps, designed for use in a wide variety of applications. The COBRA NC 400 B is described by Busch as being robust in construction and reliable in operation, while at the same time being energy efficient for the user.

Featuring an asymmetrical screw profile and free gas outlet, the new COBRA provides improved ability to handle liquid and dust carry over. The optimised efficiency of the pump reduces thermal load, which in turn maximises the service life of the installation. Uniform temperature distribution gives high resistance to corrosion.

COBRA NC 0400 B has ATEX-Certification projected for category 1 and 2 and fast access screws allow for easy servicing. Other key features include a vacuum capability of 1 hPa (mbar). Busch says the new COBRA is ideal for use in many types of industries, but in different formats depending on requirements. Typical applications include furnaces, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, soil remediation, plastic extrusion, rubber, degassing and vapour recovery and brewing.

Geoff Jennings, systems manager for Busch, said: "The development of the new COBRA is a result of our years of experience with dry technology products and applications. We believe our customers will benefit from the key design features of the new addition to this tried and tested range."
