Dry running alternative to rotary vane pumps

Ilmvacvisit website

ILMVAC has introduced the new dry running Spindle Vacuum Pump SPV 140. Employing a new cooling technology, the pump provides a perfect heat balance, allowing for maximum vacuum power and a very compact and lightweight design. The high efficiency of the guided heat transfer system means that the pump needs only air cooling. Further, the durable design - including a robust, powder coated steel housing - guarantees a high working reliability and long service intervals combined with excellent vacuum power.

The SPV 140 offers a pumping speed of 100m3/h and an ultimate pressure of 7x10-2mbar. ILMVAC says the pump is very robust against particles, dust, vapours, liquids and humidity. The pump is also both compact and lightweight.

The SPV 140 does not require any grease or lubricant. Because it runs oil-free, there is no risk of contamination of either the product or the environment. Further, eliminating the need for water cooling means a reduced energy consumption and keeps the total life costs of the pump to a minimum.

ILMVAC says the new pump will meet the needs of a broad range of applications, including industrial ovens, coating, detallurgy, drying, packaging and degassing, offering an effective alternative to rotary vane vacuum pumps.
