New from Televac is the MP3DR, a miniature Bayard-Alpert high vacuum sensor with integral control electronics in a compact envelope. With a wide measuring range from 1x10-2 to 1x10-10 Torr, it is designed to be closely coupled to the vacuum system and to provide a local pressure indication and/or digital interface to a computer control system.
The MP3DR derives its performance strength from Televac's cutting edge miniature Bayard-Alpert ionization sensor. The device employs dual, coated and supported filaments for maximum life. CF seals and a 10-11 std cc/sec (He) leak rate ensure reliable UHV operation.
User-friendly operation is assured by its intuitive control and display interface: the MP3DR features one-button electronic selection of filament, and provides a four digit LED pressure display. Emission current and degas time are user selectable, and the MP3DR provides dual TTL setpoints for process control. Digital communications are provided via the inbuilt RS232/485 interface.
The simple design means years of trouble-free use in the most difficult of applications.
