Innovac range extended with high vacuum version

Charles Austen Pumpsvisit website

Charles Austen Pumps has extended its Innovac range of laboratory pumps to include a new high flow, high vacuum version, the Innovac 60.

With the same compact footprint and sleek, ergonomic, portable design, the Innovac 60 uses triple valve technology to enhance the performance to 60 l/min flow and vacuum down to 12mbar. This enables more outlets to be served from a single pump compared to standard laboratory pump technology and uses the same power consumption, saving money on capital expenditure and running costs.

The pump's 'wetted' parts are constructed entirely of PTFE making the Innovac chemically resistant to virtually all corrosive gases and solvent vapours. At the heart of Innovac is Charles Austen Pumps' unique 'composite-bond' diaphragm system, which is the secret of its extended service life and remarkably low cost of ownership.

Clever features abound to make the user's life easier. Innovac's tough alloy case features unique T-Slot rails for quick easy mounting of accessories without the need for additional scaffolding or expensive base-plates. Accessories include a vapour trap for collection of liquids to maintain vacuum performance during wet applications, a high performance condenser to eliminate the need to connect the pump to a fume extraction systems and an electronic vacuum controller. Even with these attachments the pump is fully portable using the flush-folding carry handle, which also provides stowage for the pump service tools enabling quick inspection and decontamination of the diaphragm.

Charles Austen Pumps says the Innovac 60 will prove the ideal pump for large scale rotary evaporation and gel drying in biochemistry where a quick pull down is required. It is ideal for installation into the benchtop where up to nine outlets can be served from a single pump, offering significant cost saving advantages during both set-up and pump life.
